STEMMED from the rose, is an origin story of not just myself but all that has come through The Irish Rose Pub. There are countless tales & memoirs that “Stemmed” from the Rose in the Mount Dennis area; from the hard-working blue-collar community to the struggles which the new immigrants, freshly landed, to earn more for their loved ones back home. One thing each of us knows is the value & hardship of earning that dollar.

STEMMED is meant to signify the wholesomeness of natural growth. The rewards derive from sweat & blood. But most of all, the beauty & purity of giving back and going back to simpler times. Where community love brought more laughter & joy over the stress & hardship of a dollar. STEMMED from the rose, is unity & acceptance as we all came from the same.

In the end, STEMMED is where it started. Where we’re rooted. But most of all, where we’ll always return to. And we are here trying to show all that through the food that we make.
