We’re two sisters who own Little Sister Baking, a micro-bakery bringing the flavors of our childhood to Toronto through comforting snacks and sweets. We’re immigrants and we grew up between India and Dubai. You’ll see elements of those cultures in our food. We make spicy meat and veggie stuffed puffs, buns, sandwiches, and desserts like our popular Ras Malai Tres Leches Cake and our Chaimisu.
“Little Sister Baking” is named after the chef, a Cordon-Bleu alumni and pastry chef who has worked at some of Toronto’s best restaurants – Auberge du Pommier, The Chase, and Buca.
Food is the most important and accessible way for immigrants like us to connect to our culture and to people. That’s why we decided to open our micro bakery – to connect to people and provide comfort in these stressful times. The food we make is the food we grew up eating in playful renditions.
