Description

Chef Martial Ribreau is from Paris, France. He emigrated to Canada over 20 years ago. Chef has managed bakeries in Toronto and taught the French Pastry Program at George Brown College.

Chef Martial Ribreau trained at École Ferrandi in Paris. He developed his skills in baking pastry and lamination through work at various bakeries in Paris.

La Bastille opened in 2016 as a wholesale bakery and as a retail store in 2023.

Chef Martial Ribreau seeks to underline and enhance the natural flavours of fruit, nuts and grains, without making desserts taste too sweet.
