Karaikudi Chettinad Indian Restaurant

Karaikudi specializes in the Chettinad cuisine which originated from the Chettinad region of the state of Tamil Nadu in South India. It is one of the most aromatic and spice-rich cuisines of India. We offer a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. The cuisine also includes many popular rice-based dishes such as biriyani, dosa, appam, idiyappam, adai, and idli.

In addition to the Chettinad cuisine, Karaikudi also offers a selection of popular North Indian favourites like Butter Chicken, Tandoori Chicken, Butter Naan and Chicken Tikka as well as Indo-Chinese (Hakka) dishes like chilli chicken, variety of fried rice and noodles.

Karaikudi is a large 5,500 sq.ft. restaurant, located in a convenient and easily accessible location on Kennedy Road near Lawrence Avenue in Scarborough. Our floor space includes a spacious dining hall, a large party hall and a private dining room for smaller groups.

Our decor is authentic but modern, adorned by reclaimed heritage rosewood pillars from the mansions of Chettinad region in South India. Bamboo lattices decorates the skylight giving the feel of dining in a portico of a Chettinad mansion.
